Wholesale Tent Fabric: Waterproof Oxford, Ripstop Nylon and Coated Outdoor Textiles
Source tent fabric for camping shelters, awnings, canopies, equipment covers and sewn outdoor products from FabricsTrades. Our current range includes lightweight 40D TPU-coated nylon ripstop, 210D to 1200D polyester Oxford constructions, 228T nylon Taslon, 290T nylon twill Oxford ripstop and 240T polyester pongee. Available constructions support different priorities—from low packed weight and heat-sealable seams to abrasion resistance, dimensional stability and heavy-duty service.
Located in the heart of Wujiang District, Suzhou, we work inside one of the world’s most concentrated textile manufacturing hubs. FabricsTrades is not limited to a single mill’s looms: we combine factory-level textile knowledge with access to thousands of specialized weaving, dyeing, coating, printing and lamination partners. If a fabric exists, we can find the right production route. If it does not, we can help develop it around your target fiber, denier, weave, weight, width, color, coating and end-use requirements.
Règlement sur les tissus 2024-2026 & Mise à jour de conformité
Tent fabrics are directly exposed to the accelerating regulation of PFAS because water-, oil- and stain-repellent finishes, fluorinated processing residues and certain membrane technologies can introduce regulated substances. The EU REACH PFHxA restriction is already adopted: limits begin applying on October 10, 2026 for specified consumer clothing, footwear and related accessories, and on October 10, 2027 for other textiles intended for the general public. The broader EU universal PFAS restriction is still moving through the regulatory process as of 2026, but technical textiles, coated fabrics, bags and tent cloth are already high-priority sourcing categories.
Buyers should specify non-fluorinated chemistry where required and request lot-specific evidence for the finished construction, including the face fabric, coating or membrane, adhesives and potential shared-line contamination—not only a generic “C0” supplier declaration.

Compliance is destination-, end-use- and construction-specific. A coating description such as PU, TPU, PVC or black rubber does not by itself prove regulatory conformity. Agree the applicable restricted-substance list and test methods before sampling; maintain traceability for chemistry, membrane and coating suppliers; and obtain current reports from appropriately accredited laboratories for the approved production lot.
Why Choose FabricsTrades for Tent Fabric?
Accès direct à la chaîne d'approvisionnement textile de Suzhou
Located in Wujiang District, Suzhou, we operate at the center of one of the world’s largest textile manufacturing clusters. Beyond our own production capabilities, we work with specialized weaving, dyeing, coating, printing and lamination partners to source or develop the right tent fabric for each project.Multiple Fabric Constructions
Our tent-fabric range includes lightweight 40D TPU-coated nylon ripstop, 210D–1200D polyester Oxford, 290T nylon ripstop, 228T nylon Taslon and 240T polyester pongee. This allows buyers to select materials for different components, from ultralight flysheets to reinforced floors and heavy-duty carry bags.Custom Coatings and Finishes
Available options include PU, TPU, PVC, PA, silver and black-rubber coatings, depending on the base fabric. We can also support custom colors, printed patterns, fabric weights, widths and functional finishes based on your target application.Application-Based Material Selection
We do not recommend fabric by denier alone. Our team considers packed weight, abrasion exposure, seam construction, waterproof requirements, coating adhesion, UV exposure and the intended service environment before proposing a suitable construction.Sampling and Bulk-Order Support
Selected products support custom lab dips, approval samples and make-to-order production. We can coordinate fabric development, shade confirmation, coating selection, inspection, packing and export documentation from sampling through bulk delivery.Approvisionnement axé sur la conformité
For EU- and US-bound outdoor products, we can help buyers define relevant restricted-substance requirements and coordinate supporting documentation or third-party testing. PFAS-sensitive finishes, coatings and membranes should be reviewed at the finished-material level rather than relying only on general supplier declarations.

A make-to-order polyester Oxford program covering multiple deniers. It allows sourcing teams to align fabric weight and strength with the finished product instead of forcing one base cloth across every component. Also suitable for: Coordinated tent systems using lighter fly panels, midweight wall sections and heavier carry bags; custom outdoor collections; color-matched equipment families; branded camping accessories; and development programs requiring different coating or construction levels.Digital Camouflage Printing 600D Oxford Polyester Fabric with PVC Coating
A printed 600D polyester Oxford fabric with PVC coating for rugged, visually distinctive equipment. The construction is relevant to bags, awnings, industrial wear, outdoor products, military-style applications, tents, toys and umbrellas. Also suitable for: Hunting shelters, tactical-style gear bags, field covers, utility tents, concealment screens, equipment organizers and durable printed outdoor accessories. How to Select the Right Tent Fabric
Start with the component, not only the tent’s retail category. A backpacking fly prioritizes low mass and packability; a groundsheet must tolerate hydrostatic pressure, abrasion and puncture risk; a pole bag needs repeated flex and scuff resistance; and a commercial canopy may prioritize dimensional stability, coating adhesion and long-term weather exposure.- For ultralight and heat-sealed constructions: Consider the 40D TPU-coated nylon ripstop where low weight and compatible welded seams are important.
- For lightweight general-purpose panels: Consider 210D polyester Oxford or 240T polyester pongee, then specify the required coating and finish.
- For midweight tent bodies and accessories: Consider 300D or 420D PU-coated polyester Oxford.
- For high-wear bags, floors and equipment products: Consider 600D polyester Oxford.
- For demanding structural or furniture-related applications: Consider the 1200D, 330gsm polyester Oxford construction.
- For a matte nylon aesthetic: Consider 228T nylon Taslon.
- For tear control in portable outdoor products: Consider nylon ripstop constructions such as 40D TPU-coated ripstop or 290T PU-coated twill Oxford ripstop.
